Service Units

Our Ministries

We have a saying here at WONDERS CHAPEL CANADA and it simply says: “A PLACE OF REST FOR GOD’S PEOPLE!”
A great way to get to know your fellow members of the church is to serve. You may ask “What does it mean to serve?” Ephesians 4:7-12 says that God gave us all spiritual gifts to use for the building up of the body of Christ. Below is a list of ministries available here at the church to serve.

The

Sanctuary Keepers

Sanctuary Keepers are responsible for Keeping the Church, its facilities, and its environment clean at all times. – (Nehemiah 10:39)

The

Treasury Team

Responsible for cash collection, counting, and reconciliation of offerings and donations during church services and programs. – (Neh. 10:38)

The

Rainbow Unit

This unit see to the beautification and decoration of the church for every service, and all church programs. (Haggai 1:8)

The Marriage Committee

As a home and family building department of new and prospective marital couples in the church, they see to the following:

Physical and Spiritual Preparation of prospective couples for marriage
Counseling married couples

Other marriage related duties( (2 Corinthians 6:4))

The Security Unit

This department is charged with the security matters outside the church auditorium, within church premises, and also on crusade grounds.

The security of a person is a great importance amidst the growing number of worshippers in our church so members of this department help to maintenance of law and order is of the essence with a grown congregation. This depart is made of service personnel, paramilitary personnel, ex-service men and security service operation are all welcome to this unit

This Protocol Unit (Psalm 84:10)

This department is charged with the security issues within the church auditorium as well attend to other matters of protocol such as

Airport arrival and departure of Men and Women of God in the church
Hotel accommodation for visiting Ministers
Transportation of Ministers
The comfort of all our church guests.

Gideon Army (Is. 62:6-7)

This is an intercessory unit of the church. Prayer is the backbone to a healthy Christian life. The unit intercedes for the growth and development of the Church and her Members spiritually, physically, and financially

An effective leader will help the congregation recognize that prayer is essential to a life of Christian discipleship. They are responsible for the continuous spiritual strengthening of the church’s backbone through effective fervent prayer session consistently held every Friday 7:00-8;oo pm.
The objective of the prayer team: To intercede for wonders chapel, leadership, the unsaved to come to the kingdom of God

Evangelism Unit (Matt. 28:19)

A ministry dedicated to sharing our faith, introducing others to our local church body, and assisting our Pastor in carrying out the vision.
Christians must earnestly invite people to believe the Gospel. Christians must also be unashamed to share the Gospel. This includes personal and team evangelism. In our church, we’ve had a regular team evangelism ministry for about six years. We go to different public locations, and together, we share the Gospel through: tracts, conversation, sign – there are a lot of benefits to team evangelism. . . . It’s Biblical
Jesus sent out his disciples two by two (Luke 10:1, Mk 6:6-7). This gives accountability, a valid witness, and encouragement to one another. In Luke 8:1, Jesus was going through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with him.

Wonders Youth Ministry

The Wonders Youth ministry is committed to serving our Youth (grades k-12) with the goal of guiding each Youth toward their personal decision to Trust the Lord Jesus Christ and to demonstrate their personal decision to love and serve Him. We seek to provide instruction and programming that will cultivate a gospel-changed community so that our children will grow to love and apply God’s Word.

Our focus is inspiring students to become fully integrated, life-long members of the church by reflecting Jesus in everything that we do. We reflect Jesus in our walk, our talk, and our creativity. We are not interested in temporary hype. We are leading a living legacy that draws a generation to a transformed culture. We are a youth culture, representing the icon of Jesus in all we do, striving to become fully integrated, life-long members of the church.

This ministry is committed to providing the technical expertise for the audio and video presentation of the Word.

Altar Workers+

Armor Bearers

A ministry that helps provide support for the Pastor and ministry guest at each service and event. They also assist during altar calls and prayer within the church.

The

Kingdom Builders

Department is for all professionals and business men and women in the church. Within this department, different units are set up to offer welfare services to the local congregation. (Philippians 2:3-4)

The Follow-Up Team (Phil.2:3-4)

Most people really begin to plug into church life after they have had a genuine connection with someone already plugged into the church. One of the most effective ways to facilitate connection is through following up and re-connecting with visitors.
In our experience at Wonders Chapel we have realized that follow-ups are one of the biggest determining factors in the continued attendance of someone who is new to church. Simply put, people are much more likely to return when they’ve connected on a personal level

Men Ministry

The Iron Men

. . . dedicated to equipping men with the necessary resources and tools to grow spiritually and emotionally; to become Godly men (single or married), father and husbands; and understand the true meaning of manhood. (Matthew 7:25)

The

Wonder Voices

This is the music ministry of Wonders Chapel Canada (WCC). This Ministry is responsible for leading the congregation in singing praises to the Lord during worship services. “Praise with a Purpose, Spirit of Worship. (Psalm 40:3)

The

Ushering Team

This ministry is responsible for greeting the members and visitors for each service as well as ensuring that order is maintained in and around the church. (John 10:3)

The Welfare Department
Duet. 15:7-11

The welfare department caters for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the Church’s members and communities.

The department takes responsibility for:

The poor and needy in the congregation
Visitation and care of the sick, widows, and the old in the church and environments

Financial empowerment for members business development and growth, etc

The Medical Team
Jeremiah 30:17

This ministry is committed to providing information and resources to develop and maintain healthy spiritual temples. The medical response team members are trained and certified medical professionals (nurses, doctors and EMTs) and are familiar with AED and rescue protocol.
They are always on ground and ready to respond to medical emergencies and hold periodic free clinical services, diagnoses, and prescriptions. etc.

Wonder Women of Excellence
(Titus 2:2-8)

To impart into women how to regenerate their mind, body, and spirit by;

living according to the word of God, cultivating positive relationships, and by building their faith so that they can exhibit a healthy self-worth in order to develop their talents and accomplish their dreams

The

Parking Lot Team

A ministry dedicated to maintaining the flow of traffic and parking during our multiple worship services

The

Baptism Ministry

Members of this kingdom Service unit are responsible for training new converts and getting them spiritually ready for baptism in our fellowship (Matthew 28:19-20)

Hospitality

Ministry

– provide hospitality and support for our visitors and friends <br/> (Hebrews 13:1-2)
– assist those in need to their seats,
– provide adequate Christian care during service and meeting

The Anointed Arrows (Children Ministry) – Proverbs 22:6

A ministry to serve our children and help them to develop spiritually. The ministry focus on teaching the word of God to the children from age 3 years to 11 years.

The ministry also help the kids to discover and use the gifts (spiritual , physical and mental) that God has deposited in them
